My name is Stanislava Novgorodtseva. I am a photographer, author of documentary projects, and educator. I was born in Moscow and currently live in the Georgian city of Batumi.
In my personal projects, I am interested in immersing myself in the lives of people and communities, making visible what often escapes a superficial glance. Fairytales and myths frequently become starting points in my work, creating a safe space for conversations around complex topics.
My work has been published in Forbes, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other outlets, and has been recognized through international competitions such as Direct Look, PRIX Levallois, and the Lens Culture Visual Storytelling Awards.
Since 2023, I have been teaching a documentary photography course at KINO, supported by the Canon Young People Programme, for teenagers from Ukraine. I also founded Karass Lab — an online school for project-based photography.
I collaborate with brands, cultural projects, and private clients, helping convey values, atmosphere, and the tangible presence of people through images. A documentary approach allows me to transform everyday life into a cohesive visual statement.
